35000 women from 16 tea garden laborers are formed into SHG model. They Improved health, Increased income through IGA, reduced school dropouts and were helped 30 girls to complete their class X. Involvement in social activities to reduce liquor consumption specially among women. It also decreased migration & trafficking.
17 severely flood affected villages of Dhemaji and North Lakhimpur Districts of Assam is helped with flood Resilient Paddy cultivation. Safe drinking water facilities were provided through 28 Raised up tube wells, 500 families, especially women benefited from WASH kits provided. Distribution of 1000 fishing nets and yarn to 500 artisans for better livelihood option were given to the poorest and vulnerable families. Students from 11 villages were profited through “MY EVENING SCHOOLS “which was for the poor in the affected villages
775 flood affected households have increased knowledge on varieties of disaster resilient crops, practice resilient measures and techniques for crops and vegetables and in agro based interventions and coordination of local resources (Livestock, farm and house) with farming techniques for climate resilient and sustainable farming.
980 persons with disability were helped to get “Disability Certificates” which is a support to get free travel and various schemes allotted for them in Chirang District of Assam.
500 Widows and senior Unmarried ladies are being motivated, trained and empowered to stand in the society with a dignity in Udalguri, North Lakhimpur and Jorhat Districts of Assam.

Worked towards DISASTER Risk Reduction especially in Manaha Panchayat in Morigaon Dt. Focusing on Organic Cultivation for 53 farmers were linked with KVK and trained in flood resilient paddy cultivation with vermi-compost preparation &training. Around 650 people attended Mock drill through NDRF. Assam on flood, fire & First Aid. About 600 animals are vaccinated to save from epidemic. During flood we provided 25 make shift toilets and bath rooms besides with 2000 solar lamps and 4000 Mats to help the students in their study.
Education of 75 School dropout girls with Residential coaching class for the last 18 years. At present 56 girls from various parts of N. East is studying through Residential facilities .so far 800 girls have completed their class X through NIOS and perusing higher education and few are self-employed.
Around 525 students are being taken care through Remedial tuition centers to support education of poor children who are unable to cope up with other regular students and retaining for the schooling in tea gardens of Assam.
WDC was the Nodal agency of NABARD in Dhemaji Dt. which was identified as one of the most backward and Left-wing Extremist districts by Govt. of India. Formed, nurtured, Bank Linkages and Credit linkages being done to 550 Women Self Help Groups (WSHGs) above 7000 women Artisans were trained and nurtured to be entrepreneurs.
3 Farmers producer Organization (FPOs) with more than 1500 farmers are formed and nurtured.
1580 Local Women are given opportunities to train themselves through Vocational Training which has started from the year 2000 not only to earn a decent living and stand on their feet but to socialize, solve their own problems and of the community.
This made possible with the active support of various Govt. agencies, Non-government Agencies and various Institutions.
