Awareness on Illicit Trafficking and Substance abouse

Awareness program on Illicit Trafficking and Substance Abuse was organized in Punjabi Colony, Morakhali at 4.45 PM. The resource person Mrs. Shehnaaz Khan, Legal Aid Defense Lawyer meticulously explained the 38 women and 14 student participants about accessing the legal services and assistance for women and substance abuse. She shared also with the participation the emergency contact number 1098, in case of assistance. Mrs. Shanti Kaur, President of Mahila Samity, Morakhali Punjabi Colony mentioned to provide full assistance and will be vigilance against human trafficking and use of substance abuse in their localities.
Women Development Centre (WDC) is a development centre for the people in North East India for many years. The sisters felt the need to bring structural change to the present way of living especially of the women and tribals.
