Celebrating the 79th Birthday of Sr. Betsy Devasia
July 1, 2026
On 1 July 2026, Women Development Centre joyfully celebrated the 79th birthday of our beloved Director, Sr. Betsy Devasia. The occasion was marked by heartfelt wishes, appreciation, and gratitude for her compassionate leadership, dedicated service, and unwavering commitment to the mission of WDC.
A visionary leader and caring mentor, Sr. Betsy continues to inspire and guide the WDC family through her wisdom, dedication, and concern for others. Her life beautifully reflects the truth that while some count the years they have lived; others are remembered for the lives they have touched. Sr. Betsy truly belongs to the latter.
Women Development Centre (WDC) is a development centre for the people in North East India for many years. The sisters felt the need to bring structural change to the present way of living especially of the women and tribals.
