Child Friendly Space Summer Camp 2026: Learning, Protection and Joy

The Women Development Centre (WDC), Guwahati, organized a six-day Child Friendly Space (CFS) Summer Camp across six centres in informal settlement areas, reaching 241 children with opportunities to learn, play, and grow in a safe and supportive environment.
The camp focused on child rights, personal safety, body boundaries, and POCSO awareness, alongside creative, educational, recreational, and team-building activities. Children strengthened their confidence, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills through active participation.
The programme contributed to WDC’s ongoing efforts to create safer, more informed, and empowered children, while strengthening community-based child protection.
Women Development Centre (WDC) is a development centre for the people in North East India for many years. The sisters felt the need to bring structural change to the present way of living especially of the women and tribals.
