Children’s Day Celebration

Women Development Centre (WDC), in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), organized a vibrant Children’s Day celebration on 14th November 2025 at the premises of Rup Rang Sanga, Uzanbazar. The event aimed to honour the spirit of childhood while raising awareness on child rights, education, and protection. The program started with lighting the lamp, honouring Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru by the chief guest Mr. Mizor Ali, Legal Aid Counsel, DLSA. This program comprised of 77 children from 3 Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) and 10 WDC staff. The Chief Guest highlighted about the Child Rights and legal support services provided by DLSA and mentioned about the Toll free number 1098 during his speech.
Women Development Centre (WDC) is a development centre for the people in North East India for many years. The sisters felt the need to bring structural change to the present way of living especially of the women and tribals.
