NIOS Students - A trip to Accoland (An Amusement Park)

On 10th October, 2025 a trip was organized by Women Development Centre to Accoland for a fun and recreational outing for the 39 school dropout students. They were accompanied by three teachers and two sisters, who supervised the students throughout the trip, taking care of their safety, comfort, and discipline. The outing gave the hostel students a chance to bond with one another, relax, and enjoy new experiences that they do not often get in their village life. Since they were students, the food was included in the ticket, which made the trip convenient for everyone. The students enjoyed various amusement rides, water activities, and other attractions inside the park.
After spending a joyful and refreshing day, the group returned to WDC in the evening. The trip was successful and created wonderful memories for all the students.
Women Development Centre (WDC) is a development centre for the people in North East India for many years. The sisters felt the need to bring structural change to the present way of living especially of the women and tribals.
