NIOS Students-Children’s Day Celebration

Children’s Day was celebrated at Women Development Centre over two joyful days that is on 14th and 15th November, 2025. First day, a variety of indoor and outdoor games were organised for the students. Indoor activities such as puzzle games, fun treasure hunt game etc. kept the students engaged, while outdoor games like musical chairs added excitement to the celebration.
On the second day, the teachers and the sister took the students to the newly opened park in Uzanbazar, Guwahati which is located along the banks of the Brahmaputra River. The outing allowed the students to relax, enjoy the open environment, and spend quality time with their friends and teachers. This visit was especially special for the hostel students, many of whom rarely get the chance to visit such places.
The two-day celebration was a great success and created wonderful memories for all the students. The teachers, sister, and students expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Director Sr. Betsy for the support, guidance, and encouragement that made the programme possible.
Women Development Centre (WDC) is a development centre for the people in North East India for many years. The sisters felt the need to bring structural change to the present way of living especially of the women and tribals.
